  • Can I listen to books not found in my Audible library?
    Siftbooks only allows listening to audiobooks that you have already purchased from Audible.
  • What does the Siftbooks subscription offer?
    Unlimited access to listen to any audiobook that (1) you have purchased from Audible and (2) is available in Siftbooks' library . You can also vote for which audiobooks Siftbooks should clean next but submitting book requests. *Due to increased demand, each user is only allowed one book request per month.

  • Do I need a subscription to access the Audiobook Library?
    Yes, a subscription is required to access and listen to the audiobooks in our library.
  • How big is Siftbooks' library?
    Siftbooks is a very new startup so, currently, our library only consists of a couple hundred books to choose from. However, we're dedicated to expanding our collection as quickly as possible. Transparency is essential to us, and we want to be upfront about our current size while assuring our customers that we're actively working to grow our library.   • How long does it take for a requested book to become available?
    The time it takes for a requested book to become available varies depending on several factors, such as the audiobook's length, amount of filtering needed, our editing process, and the volume of requests we receive. *Current completion times may be longer than normal due to increased demand.
  • How accurate is the book filtering process?
    Our filtering system uses automated processes to identify and remove inappropriate content from audiobooks. While we strive for the highest accuracy possible, it's important to note that the filtering is not perfect. On average, our system successfully captures and removes around 95% of swear words and 70-90% of sexual content. However, there may be instances where some inappropriate content slips through or where acceptable content is unintentionally filtered out. We are continuously working on improving the accuracy of our filtering algorithms. If you come across any content that you believe was filtered inaccurately, please let us know using the "Report Content" feature while listening, and we will review it promptly.
  • What do I do if I experience a glitch with the mobile app?
    If you are having a problem with the app, simply close the app and reopen it. Doing this will help refresh the app and should resolve most issues. If the problem persists and you have already tried closing and reopening the app 2-3 times then please reach out to us at support@siftbooks.com Examples of problems that can be fixed by closing and reopening the app are: 1. There is a new audiobook available on the Discover page that I own in my Audible library but the app still won't let me listen to it. 2. The app is acting slower than normal or is taking too long to load. 3. Any other miscellaneous glitch that is preventing the app from working properly.
  • How does Siftbooks work?
    Our app pulls in your audio stream from Audible and then our technology acts like an automated tv remote where we know the exact times to instantly fast forward over any undesirable words or scenes without you ever having to hear it!
  • What does the mobile app do?
    From the "Library" page in the Siftbooks app, you can access and listen to your Audible library if that same audiobook has already been cleaned by Siftbooks. From the "Discover" page, you can see all the books that Siftbooks has cleaned and that are available for listening. *Adding an audiobook from the "Discover" page will either use your available Audible credits or it will bill your default payment method on Audible.
  • What if the book I'm looking for is not available?
    If you can't find the book you're looking for, it might not be available in our current inventory. However, we're constantly expanding our collection. You can submit a request for the book within the mobile app after signing up for a subscription. We'll do our best to make it available, but please note that the availability and filtering time may vary depending on the book's content and genre. *Siftbooks reserves the right not to filter a book that has been requested if the book is overly explicit or pornographic and it is determined that too much of the storyline will be lost during Siftbooks' filtering process. If Siftbooks does accept the book request, please be aware that books with sexual undertones will take longer to complete. Common genres that are at risk of sexual undertones are Erotica, Romance, Women's Fiction, and some Fiction (depending on the author). **Due to increased demand, each user is only allowed one book request per month.
  • What type of content filters are currently available?
    We do our best to remove all Sexual Content, Profanity, and instances of Taking The Lord's Name in Vain. However, we're not perfect and sometimes a word or phrase is missed. If this happens then please report it by emailing us at support@siftbooks.com and we will quickly fix the error.
  • What if I want to listen to an audiobook that is not available yet with Siftbooks?
    You can submit a book request on the the "Library" page of the app by selecting one of the grayed out audiobooks. Please be aware of the following: 1. You can only request 1 book per month. 2. We can't guarantee how long it will take us to complete your requested book. There are several factors that determine our turnaround time such as the length of the book, the level of explicit content, and how many other book requests are in Siftbooks' queue. However, we do our best to complete most books within a 1-2 week timeframe. 3. Siftbooks reserves the right to reject a book submission if the book is overly pornographic to the point that too much of the book would need to be filtered out. (For example, if there is a picture of a muscular, shirtless man on the cover of your romance novel, odds are that we're going to reject the book request 😉) 4. We are currently working hard to launch a new automated system that will speed up the book request process. However, it is important to note that it is possible that some mildly explicit or suggestive content may sometimes be missed. We are confident that our automated solution will be able to clean up 95% of profanity and 70-90% of sexual content (depending on the author, genre, and the level of vulgarity). With your help, any missed filters can be corrected by reporting explicit content to the Siftbooks team.
  • Does Siftbooks support any other platforms besides Audible?
    Currently, Siftbooks is designed to work exclusively with Audible's library.
  • Where can I find the library of available audiobooks?
    You can access our library of available audiobooks by visiting our dedicated Audiobook Library page.
  • How do I access the mobile app?
    Visit mobile.siftbooks.com on your mobile device and follow the install instructions to add the Siftbooks app to your phone's home screen (you can still access the Siftbooks library from your internet browser but installing the app is highly recommended).
